Shopping for Handbags

2018 is ending and 2019 is beginning but I have yet to find myself a new handbag.

It's not exactly breaking news but I did want to sort out that part of my life before I hit the books again.

Skechers - Back in Fashion

One Black Friday sale, we browsed the Skechers store and found the following styles on sale at US$34.99 a pair. 

Made for walking...  

Initially, I had my eye on basic black but I noticed the soles on the lightning blue walking shoes: 

The lightning blue pair looks good if you want to project a casual, sporty look.  

I tried on the blue pair and they were REALLY COMFORTABLE. I could stand, walk and run all day in this pair of Skechers shoes.

What do you think of this bubble foam sole? 

I tried on a pair and didn't quite like it because the toe box was a bit too narrow for me. 

Also, the "bubble" sole did not feel that comfortable. That's my personal preference.  

Skechers Goga (Go Yoga?)

In the end, I decided to get a pair of Skechers Women's Go Walk Lite-Sweet Pea Loafer Flat because it has the Skechers Goga Max insole, a rubber sole and a soft, comfortable knit upper.

Got my eye on Skechers Women's EZ Flex 3.0 Kindred Spirit Slip On Sneaker too, which has a fabric upper. Since I do a lot of walking, I need a comfortable pair of shoes or sandals with a lot of cushioning

We attended a Cosplay event, and we saw so many people in colourful costumes!

Game of Thrones - Cersei Lannister

She is a fictional character in the A Song of Ice and Fire series of epic fantasy novels by American author George R. R. Martin.

Queen Cersei Lannister was the twentieth ruler of the Seven Kingdoms. 

(also known as Circe - the goddess of Magic in Greek mythology who is also portrayed as a nymph, a witch or an enchantress. 

Cersei's Red luxury dress is a beautiful costume party because it looks like a Japanese kimono, which is a satin fabric with a gold belt (obi). 

Gold embroidery on the collar and sleeves will you stand out like an elegant Red Queen at Halloween, if that's the look you want.

After due diligence on various beauty blogs, vlogs and etc, I bought both the pearls and the Light Diffusing Perfecting Primer, both of which are GREAT!

To be honest, I wear light makeup (if any) so my skin protests if I slap on anything that's heavy. After my moisturizer, I squeezed a tiny drop of the primer and smoothed it all over - it was easy to apply and is not sticky.

It's a great primer (or base) because it's light diffusing in the sense that my face had a luminous glow to it - just what I need for a formal dinner or event.

I also like the light floral scent, which isn't too overpowering since it's applied all over your face.

While it's a setting powder, I use it like a sort of finishing powder for my T-zone and it works well.

I have used compact powders by Clinique and Estee Lauder but somehow they seem to clog up my pores but Guerlain does not give me that feeling so it's worth the price if you are not a heavy user.

 

I love how easy it is to use the pearls because all you need is a light swish over it with a foundation brush and then sweep it all over your face.
